Static Advertising material

Please send us the advertising material in the following formats:

Delivery details

  • Please deliver the advertising material including the target page to your account manager at least 5 working days before the campaign starts.
  • A close-button is displayed by us and does not have to be programmed.
  • Please inform us if the target page changes during the campaign.
  • Include a call to action (e.g.: „Find out more now!“; „Learn more“; „Discover now“) by placing a (prominently colored) button on the static image.

Specifications for the delivery of geo-targeting data:

  • delivery in one of the following formats: xlsx, xls, csv
  • divided into the following columns: „Street“, „House number“, „Postcode“, „City“, „Location name“ if applicable (e.g. university xy)

Interactive advertising material

Programming skills in HTML, CSS and possibly Javascript are required for the creation of interactive InApp advertising material. We recommend that you use a code editor and do not create the advertising material with Adobe Animate, Google Webdesigner or similar.

Delivery

  • Delivery of the advertising material incl. target page to your account manager at least 5 working days before the campaign starts.
  • Before sending the advertising material, check the HTML code of the advertising material at https://validator.w3.org/ and correct any errors.
  • A close button is displayed by us and does not have to be programmed.
  • Please inform us if the target page changes during the campaign.
  • All functions of the advertising material should be delivered.

Creation

  • The click area must be placed on the banner, either as a complete banner or as individual buttons.
  • We need all files and trackings in secure files (HTTPS). Please note that all calls via the ad must be secure.
  • The length of animations that are not initiated by the user must not exceed 29 seconds. This also applies to pulsing/jumping buttons in Rich Media Ads. After the first user interaction, this restriction no longer applies.
  • Each call of URLs (clicks) and all variables such as URLs, merchant IDs, zip code, geolocation etc. must be done via a wrapper function in the Index.html file.
  • The target page of the advertising medium must be integrated via the following click function:

  • The size of the entire ad must not exceed 5 MB.
  • The maximum number of characters for index.html is 30,000 characters (the rest should be swapped out to files).
  • If your advertising material contains a video, it must be delivered separately.
    • The video may be max. 3.5 MB in total
    • The length of the video must not exceed 29 seconds
    • It must be in mp4 format
    • Autoplay is only possible when the video is muted
    • The video should be operable via control elements such as a play/pause or mute/unmute button (absolutely necessary for videos with sound)
  • All files (images, fonts, etc.) must be integrated via an HTML or CSS file.
  • CSS and JavaScript files may only be referenced within the index.html.
  • The following specifications apply to GIF files: Maximum file size 600 kB, animations must not be longer than 29s
  • For error-free delivery, all comments in the index.html file must be removed

Storage

  • Make sure that the delivered .zip folder always contains a static image (320x480px) as JPG, which contains all important information of your advertising material. Save this as fallback.jpg in the folder.
  • All files, images and scripts must be on our server and only contain fixed paths. The path looks like this: https://media.permodo.net/ads/MY-CAMPAIGN-ID. You will find the campaign ID in the mail from your account manager. The absolute paths must be set for all links.
    Example:
    If a relative path is „assets/image/image.png“, the absolute path would look like the following: https://media.permodo.net/ads/MY-CAMPAIGN-ID/assets/image/bild.png. This must be done for all files that are loaded from the folder (images, CSS file, Javascript file,…).
  • If 2 advertising media are delivered that operate simultaneously with the same ID, /v1 or /v2 must be added to the absolute paths. All files must accordingly be transmitted into a folder v1 or v2.
  • The initial HTML-file must be named index.html and placed in the top directory of the ZIP file.
